What happens when a Northerner & a North American meet up in a dirty East London basement? Space and time stand still…gravity shifts, a unicorn gets its wings...and a freakish duo is formed. Helen Burnip & Tamara Deike are the Moustache Mamas. A company of latex, jumpsuits, spike heels and unhealthy music infatuations.

Blending their love for classic & psychedelic rock, 80's obscura & disco new and old, both girls bring a different flavour to the floor. Each have a record collection to parry the avid crate digger and pay homage to influences like legendary Jellybean Benitez and Walter Gibbons to 80's icons Toto and Heart!

With their toes planted in both London & Berlin, the Mamas are residents at both LOOSE in London, and host their own night – Hot Boxx, in Berlin each month. From dodgy basements parties to fashion shows & brand events (Wrangler, Vice, Lee, Casio, and more) – the Mamas have been building their repertoire of venues and have performed alongside the likes of Maurice Fulton, Hot Chip DJ's, Aeroplane, Thunderheist, Bonde du Rolle & many more!

Voted by Time Out Magazine London as 'Ones to Watch' in 2009… The Mamas incite moustached-madness from dance floor goers. Bring your party-pants & get your lip fur ready! The girls will bring the mayhem.
